For our mission to create the best accessories you've ever seen to crown your glory, we use a range of authentic, demi-fine jewelry components. 

Jealous Helen peices are NOT AI HALLUCINATIONS. They're real and they work. With us you're part of the conversation, not just a transaction. We are constantly improving and experimenting with our charms, so sometimes a side spacer or rondelle will be slightly different from a given photograph on social media or online. If that's a surprise - happy or unhappy - just let us know so we can serve you, and your hair, even better.

Metals:

Most of our metals are cast brass with real 18k gold plating. A few are enrobed in 24k gold. Those with a white gold appearance may be sterling silver, platinum or rhodium plated. Very rarely we use an alloy that has the appearance of precious metal but is not. Equally rare is our use of pure sterling silver; (we find that metal is not hardy enough for the environment of our hair and haircare products). Some of the functional findings, like our bespoke logo beads or sliders, are stainless steel. 

Our more masculine styles tend to feature charms made of steel rather than precious-metal plating. Stainless steel charms may contain little to no precious metal.  

Stones: 

Jealous Helen values authenticity as much as you do!

All of our pearls are natural baroque pearls. Our jade is real jade. Our amethyst is real amethyst. Our lapis lazuli, rose quartz and onyx are real lapis lazuli, rose quartz and onyx. Our tiger eye ... you get the point! 

We do not use real diamonds, whether lab grown or mined, as the price becomes inaccessible for most customers. Instead, whenever you see small faceted stones, these are cubic zirconia, never rhinestone, plastic or glass. Whether the appearance is of clear diamonds, blue sapphire, green emerald or red rubies, we make you the same promise.  

Cords: 

Our signature cord is composed of 5 rubber strands woven with durable nylon threads. The outside strands are actually woven into the fabric jacket. The result is strength entwined with a slender profile you don't find in the drugstore. We want you to wear these peices to your heart's content, so please also note our Lifetime ReStringing Policy. 

Packaging: 

At Jealous Helen we care about every aspect of your experience with us. We know that gifting ourselves a daily spark of joy is night-and-day different from receiving a plastic-wrapped cardboard hang tag in the mail. Nevertheless, we strive to ensure that our packaging is either recyclable or made as much as possible from post-consumer recycled materials. As we continue to grow, we aim to offer more packaging options to suit your preferences.
